The ship drifted. Past nebulae, past asteroids, past strange tiny sparkling dust clouds, towards… Well, the important thing was away. Time passed. A glitch fired a stabiliser for a brief micro-second, and the ship veered infinitesimally. Away. A dark shape surrounded by the glittering blackness of an ocean of stars loomed in the ship’s path.
